Shige has been both a solid donor cow and a great mama. She is a direct daughter of Shigeshigetani, who was highly regarded in his day and is proving to be one of the best sires in the USA to this day. Her dam was sired by Michifuku, similar situation as just described, one of the best bulls ever. Its hard to find a pedigree much nicer than this cow's.
